Terminally Ill Smyrna Man Gets Married in Ambulance
Carl Williams, suffering from Stage IV lung cancer, married his partner of seven years in a ceremony near the Cobb County Magistrate Court Monday.

A Smyrna man battling Stage IV lung cancer took an ambulance ride to the chapel to marry his girlfriend of seven years earlier this week.
62-year-old Carl Peyton Williams III, who was diagnosed with cancer on Oct. 4, was rushed from his home in Austell to the Cobb County Magistrate Court on Monday morning to tie the knot with Ruth Ann Terry, 67.
The couple met online seven years ago and had planned to get hitched for some time, but Williams' diagnosis accelerated the issue, reports the Marietta Daily Journal.
The MDJ says that Williams exchanged vows with his bride from a gurney inside the ambulance.
