The Wednesday Night Wind Down

Provided you can make it through the workday, there's plenty of good reasons to kick back and celebrate making it through the midpoint of the week.

Don’t let mid-week blues get you down. Check out these musical events in our Patch that are sure to give you something to sing about.

In light of a particularly wet summer, has extended its concert series into July. Tonight’s outdoor performance by Sam Thacker will be the last of the summer concert series. Sip signature cocktails and local beer while munching on offerings from Canoe’s “River Snacks” menu while you enjoy the tunes. You can catch the music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

There are not one, not two, but three open mic nights in our Patch tonight. is hosting an open mic night as part of its monthly family night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kids can enjoy rides on the Twisted Taco inflatable bull in addition to the music. Parents will also be pleased because kid meals are $1 with the purchase of an adult entrée.

t begins at 8 p.m. Participants are allowed to perform two songs or poems, three if it’s a slow night. But remember, covers are never allowed.

at West Village will also be hosting an open mic night tonight. The sign-up sheet goes out at 7 p.m. with performances beginning at the bottom of the hour. Show up early to get a good spot. No one likes to go first.
