Two Convicted in Cumberland Traffic Stop Turned Drug Bust
One of the defendants received a lengthy prison term, while the other received probation.

Two men who were found to be in possession of a significant amount of drugs during a 2012 traffic stop in the Cumberland area have been convicted and sentenced, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
Robert Klicka and Tony Foster III were pulled over by a Cobb County police officer at Powers Ferry and Windy Hill roads on Dec. 26, 2012. When officers performed a consented search of Foster’s vehicle, they discovered 45 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of marijuana, digital scales, and packets for holding drugs. Both men were arrested.
Klicka has an extensive criminal history, including 11 previous felony convictions and two guilty pleas for possession of large amounts of drugs. Foster had no criminal record at the time.

The trial of Klicka and Foster began on Tuesday, and jurors returned convictions against both men on Thursday. Klicka was convicted of drug trafficking and possession, while Foster was convicted of misdemeanor drug possession.
In light of Klicka’s criminal history, he was sentenced to serve 30 years, with 10 to be served in prison. He was also fined $200,000. Foster was given six months’ probation and fined $500.
