'Wouldn’t It Be Loverly' to see 'My Fair Lady' tonight?
Called by some the perfect musical, "My Fair Lady" runs tonight through Sunday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
"My Fair Lady,'' the second show of the Gas South Broadway Series, makes its debut tonight at the with four more performances set to take place through Sunday.
Big League Productions Inc. presents a sparkling new production of the musical by which all other musicals are measured. Based on Shaw’s play and Pascal’s movie “Pygmalion,” with book music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe, "My Fair Lady" is triumphant. With Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, Get Me to the Church on Time and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face, it’s no wonder everyone – not just Henry Higgins – falls in love with Eliza Doolittle.
The show’s 1956 Broadway production was a smash hit, setting a new record for the longest run of any major theatre production in history. It was followed by a hit London production, a popular film version starring Audrey Hepburn-which won eight Academy Awards, and numerous revivals. It has been called “the perfect musical”

Evening performances tonight through Saturday will be at 8 p.m., and there will also be matinee shows on both Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
