Dream Makers Youth Foundation & Energy Fitness hosts annual wheelchair basketball game.

The Dream Makers Youth Foundation and Energy Fitness teamed up to host the foundation's seventh annual celebrity wheelchair basketball game at Campbell Middle School on Saturday.

This annual fundraiser event was open to the public and helps emphasize the importance of  healthy lifestyles by using sports for developing and disabled children.

Celebrity participants in Saturday night's game included Gavin Cloy (paralympian), Alasia Ballard ("America's Next Top Model," Cycle 14), Jasha Balcom (former Chicago Cubs player) and El Jefe (WGST Morning Show personality).

Funds raised from this charity event will aid the Dream Makers Youth Foundation in providing multiple opportunities for disabled youth to stay active and learn skills needed to succeed in school and life.

“I thought it was a great turnout. Everyone was able to have a good time. It was a perfect way to show that even though someone has a disability, there are things they can do physically and even competitively,” said Mableton resident and Dream Makers board member, Anthony Riviere.
