MABLETON, GA — Cobb County Police is investigating an armed robbery at a phone store early Tuesday afternoon in Mableton. Detectives believe one of the suspects fired at a store employee who was chasing them on foot after the robbery.
At 1 p.m., a man and woman entered a Metro PCS at 5353 Floyd Road. The man pointed a handgun at an employee while the woman began taking money from the register, according to Sgt. Dana Pierce, a police spokesperson.
"Within moments of doing so, the male then went to the back of the store where he took several new iPhones," Pierce said in a release. "Both offenders then fled the business on foot to what was described as a silver vehicle which was waiting on them in a subdivision behind the Metro PCS business."
