Cobb County police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they said tried to steal from the Mableton Kmart on two separate occasions and attacked a loss prevention officer during his second attempt.

Police say the man twice tried to steal car batteries and tools from the store on Mableton Parkway, but was stopped both times by store security. The first time he was stopped, he was allegedly “verbally aggressive” to the loss prevention officer. When he was stopped a second time, police say he started punching the female loss prevention officer in the face.
