
William Harold Wallace, age 82 of Mableton, passed away Saturday. Harold served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Mableton Lodge and retired from Struges Porcelain Laboratory as a dental technician. He is survived by his sisters, Juanita Albert and Carolyn Plymale, both of Sandy Springs, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Tuesday, Aug. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. The service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Virginia Pettice Higginbotham Daniell, age 88 of Mableton, passed away Aug. 16. Born on July 12, 1923 in Montvale, Va. to Katie and Raymond Higginbotham, she retired from Southern Railway in 1980 after 38 years of service. A member of the First Baptist Church of Mableton, Virginia enjoyed Braves baseball and crocheting.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank G. Daniell, and her brother, Lee Higginbotham. Survivors include daughter, Becky and husband Jim Calvert; grandchildren, Jeffrey Calvert, Jennifer and husband David Curry; great grandchildren, Woods and Chase Curry.
Funeral services were held at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton with Rev. Steven Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Mableton.
