MARIETTA, GA -- A Mableton man who represented himself at trial has been convicted of raping a teenager and sentenced to 290 years in prison.
Late Friday, a Cobb jury convicted Louis Eugene Abram, 33, of statutory rape, child molestation, and enticing a child for indecent purposes for acts he committed against a 15-year-old girl in June 2014.
Abram was also convicted of 11 counts of sexual exploitation of children, related to numerous images and videos of Abram molesting other unidentified but clearly underage girls that were found on his phone when he was arrested.

During the weeklong trial, Abram represented himself and spent several hours cross-examining his victim. He also testified that he was the only person hurt by these acts.
On Monday, Cobb Superior Court Judge Mary E. Staley ordered Abram to serve the maximum of 290 years, with all but one year to be served in prison. Georgia law required at least one year of the sentence to be probated.
