Marietta Woman Charged in Austell Murder

The shooting happened Saturday evening in the Save-A-Lot parking lot.

AUSTELL, GA -- Police have charged a Marietta woman with the murder of her boyfriend that happened Saturday night.

Police were dispatched to the Save-A-Lot on Austell Road in reference to a man who had been shot inside a car. When they arrived they located Corey Dwight Thomas, 41, of Lithia Springs, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Thomas was transported to Wellstar South Cobb Hospital, he died as a result of the injuries.

Crystal Vincent, 35, who police say was Thomas’ girlfriend, has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. She is currently being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
