Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Cobb Crash
A pedestrian had to be taken to a hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the road, suffering serious injuries in Cobb, police say.
MABLETON, GA β A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car while crossing Riverside Parkway on Saturday evening, Cobb County Police sad Monday.
The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. on Riverside, west of Premier Lane in Mableton, police said.
The pedestrian was heading south while crossing Riverside outside of a crosswalk when they entered the path of a 2013 Toyota Corolla heading west on Riverside, police said.

The front of the Corolla hit the pedestrian, police said. Ultimately, the pedestrian landed in the center median of Riverside, police said.
The Corolla landed in the left lane of westbound Riverside, police said.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said. Their status was unknown Monday.
Police did not say if anyone in the Corolla was injured.
