South Cobb Lady Eagles fall in rematch with McEachern

Lady Eagles lose to Indians for second consecutive night, 68-38

For the second straight night, the South Cobb Lady Eagles and McEachern Indians took the floor against each other. McEachern won the first game, 72-43 on their home court.

South Cobb hosted the rematch on Friday. Unfortunately, the results were similar; with McEachern coming out on top, 68-38.

The Lady Eagles fell in an early 26-8 hole and never really recovered after that. They were able to outscore the Indians 9-7 from that point until halftime to make the score 33-17.

Senior point guard Brittany Nash was the bright spot for the Lady Eagles. She finished with 17 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Junior forward Jasmine Bennett added 12 points, three rebounds and a block. Senior power forward Kyndal Taylor had five rebounds, all in the first half to lead the team.

Nash set up her teammates many times with open looks, but the shots simply didn't go down. If those shots were made, Nash would have had double-digit assists.
