The Atria Mableton Community Garden Project: A Community Service Initiative
The youth and the residents of Atria Mableton Senior Living will plant seeds that have been generously donated by our Senior Citizens Outreach Committee Chairperson, Deirdre Bourgeois. The seeds will be planted in small pots inside the facility and then transferred in a few months to a garden outside the property. After the produce is harvested, we would like to join the residents in a cookout or a dinner where some of the produce will be prepared. Any excess produce will be given to the residents. Your student will receive community service hours for their participation.
