• Inmate found dead at Hancock State Prison (unionrecorder.com) — An inmate at Hancock State Prison near Sparta was found dead in his cell last Thursday morning, and state and local authorities are now investigating. The 56-year-old man, formerly from Florida, had no visible injuries, and his body has been sent to the GBI crime lab to determine the cause and manner of death.
