Author and Playwright Chica Divine gives us an inside look at her stage play “Tormented Emotions”.

Overcoming domestic violence and the remnants thereof is no easy journey. One of Georgia’s playwrights have tapped into a proven and powerful method in living a strong, focused and fulfilling life after past hurts and trauma. Chica Divine is the writer of the stage play “Tormented Emotions”. The play will take you on a journey through the life of “Grace” and her many life experiences that are sure to relate to a diverse audience. This play is sure to take you on an emotional ride that will leave you with a thought provoking experience.

When asking Chica what message she wants the audience to take away from the play, she said “I want people to know that you can not only survive and overcome abuse, but you can also move past it”. She also said that “Allot of people have overcome abuse mentally but are still stuck in it emotionally”. It is her hope that the audience will identify with Grace and the many struggles that are set before her. Divine said “At the end of the day, you will see a story of strength, power, hope and deliverance.”

Tormented Emotions makes a stop in Downtown Atlanta on Sunday June 22nd 2014 at 4:00 PM.
