Basketball Holiday Tournaments Start Friday

The DeKalb County Pre-Season Holiday Tournament gets under way on Friday, Dec. 20, Saturday, Dec. 21 and Monday, Dec. 23 at Arabia Mountain, Southwest DeKalb and Stone Mountain.

Arabia Mountain (4-2), Chamblee (2-4), Lakeside, Druid Hills (2-8), Southwest DeKalb (3-3), Langston Hughes (4-3), Stone Mountain (5-2) and St. Thomas-Kean are set to compete in the boys' championship bracket as the teams play to advance to Monday's championship and third place games.

The girls' championship bracket includes Arabia Mountain (2-4), Cedar Grove (0-4), Chamblee (5-1), Druid Hills (4-5), Langston Hughes (8-0), Lithonia (0-8), St. Croix Central and St. Thomas-Kean (both are from the Virgin Islands).

Four boys' teams will play a round-robin tournament including Clarkston (2-8), McNair (3-4), Redan (1-7) and St. Croix Central.
