City Council Called Meeting and Working Session Tonight
Gerard Norton will give a presentation on the Future Champions Boxing club.

City council will hold a called meeting tonight a 6 p.m. in addition to its regular working session.
There will be public hearings:
A. on the city's initiative to rezone properties (zoning map corrections) to general commercial (GC) from traditional residential (R2):

C. On amending Chapter 12, Licenses and Business Regulation.

The adoption of a new ordinance regarding occupation taxes is on the agenda, while the rezoning initiatives will be part of unfinished business.
New business during the called meeting includes:
- Corrective action involving an underground storage tank ($11,300) for the first phase of the streetscape.
- The lease for three 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police cars ($77,367.75).
During the working session, Gerard Norton will give a presentation on the Future Champions Boxing Club, and the Public Works committee will talk about a pilot program for recycling fats, oils and grease.
