Come Walk With The Commissioner

Commissioner Kathie Gannon encourages her constituents to get out and explore their DeKalb County Parks. “I’m going to be at Glen Emerald Park walking the half mile lake trail and I invite people to come walk with me. It will be a great way to hear from the public while getting some exercise,” said Gannon, DeKalb County Commissioner for Super District 6. “This is a beautiful park that would benefit from a Friends of Parks group,” Gannon continued, “Come out and show your interest.” Commissioner Gannon will begin the walk at 6:00 p.m. on May 5. Talk with the Commissioner about DeKalb or talk to her staff person Michelle, a Certified Health Fitness Specialist, about health related topics. DeKalb County parks offer many opportunities for better health and it’s always a good day to visit a park.
