2011 US Postal Service Lunar NY Stamp Unveiling at the National Archives at Atlanta

The U.S. Postal Service will be holding its annual unveiling of the Lunar New Year stamp in Atlanta in 2011.

On Saturday, January 22, the U.S. Postal Service will be holding a special first date of issuance unveiling ceremony at the National Archives at Atlanta.

2011 will feature the "Year of the Rabbit."

This will be the only time many Georgians will have the opportunity to purchase the 2011 Lunar New Year stamps, as they are very difficult to find at local post offices in the Southern region. 

Kam Mak, the New York Chinatown-based artist who designed the stamp will be present along with a number of national and local U.S. Postal Service leaders and Asian Pacific American community leaders to celebrate this special occassion.

-- OCA Georgia, whose founder Jean Chen helped to make the proposal for the lunar new year stamp and also Ken Lee, president of OCA National which helped to promote and secure the issuance of the Lunar New Year stamp series.
