Ice Sculpting Team to Hold Demos at Stone Mountain Park This Weekend

is sponsoring the team's trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, where it will compete in the World Ice Art Championships next month, attracting teams from 38 nations.

Atanta Ice Marvels placed fourth in the same competition last year, in the multi-block realistic category with a work called "Star Light, Star Bright." It was a scene where the Blue Fairy turned Pinocchio into a boy.

The demonstrations, which begin at 10 a.m., with the finished sculpture on display as weather permits, will include a replica of the Stone Mountain Scenic Railroad Train; the work will have a locomotive engine in the front and a caboose that guests can sit in for photos, the park said.

The demonstrations will provide plenty of cool -- get it? -- photo opportunities for park guests.

There is no cost to view the demos, but there is a $10 parking fee to get into the park.
