Last Chance: DeKalb Chamber's Small Business of the Year Application Deadline is Today

Hurry, hurry! The DeKalb Chamber says today, March 28, is the deadline to submit applications for Small Business of the Year and Small Business Champion of the Year (the original deadline on the application says March 20).

The Chamber says to qualify for the Small Business of the Year award, applicants must be a member of the DeKalb Chamber, demonstrate an increase in sales volume, officially operating at least three years, provide evidence of contributions to community-oriented projects, not be a subsidiary or regional office.

In order to qualify for the Champion award, the Chamber says applicants must meet the following criteria: be a member of the DeKalb Chamber and/or consistently partner with Chamber staff; demonstrate a consistent increase in relevant industry volume (i.e. non-profit agency funding requests fulfilled), have been officially operating at least three years, and provide evidence of contributions to community-oriented projects.

The APEX Awards celebrating the 2012 Small Business of the Year & Small Business Champion of the Year Luncheon will be held May 21, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Holiday Inn Perimeter 4386 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. in Atlanta.

The cost is $50.00 for members/$65 non-members.
