Man Shot in the Head at Motel, 3 Arrested
Victim in serious condition following robbery and shooting in Day's Inn motel room, according to Gwinnett County Police

A man was shot in the head early Tuesday in a Stone Mountain motel room, according to Gwinnett County Police. Three men were arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a report of a possible robbery and shooting at 4:24 a.m. Tuesday at the Days Inn at 2006 Glenn Club Drive.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville for treatment. His injuries are serious and life-threatening, according to police.

At 8:30 a.m., an Uber driver called 911, but did not speak to the dispatcher. When the phone was disconnected, the dispatcher tried to call back.
On a second attempt, the Uber driver answered and told police that he had just dropped off three suspicious men at a Snellville home who may be related to the shooting, according to police.

Police responded to the home on Newton Crest Circle, where they apprehended one suspect. Two others fled and were arrested in different locations over the next two hours.
Four Hispanic men from North Carolina were staying in the Days Inn hotel room when the robbery occurred. The suspects fled in the victim’s car, a black 1999 Lexus GS300.
After an interview with the Uber driver, the officers learned that the suspects abandoned the victim’s vehicle at a Waffle House in Conyers shortly after the shooting, according to police.
