New Schools Chief to Visit Two Stone Mountain Schools Thursday

Cheryl Atkinson, DeKalb County School System's new superintendent, plans to visit several schools Thursday including and after she is sworn in at the Dekalb County Courthouse in Decatur at 9 a.m.

There are several schools on her schedule Thursday: Clifton Elementary at 11 a.m., then McNair High School, Columbia Middle School, Salem Middle School, Redan High School, and ends the day at Eldredge L. Miller Elementary School sometimes between 3-3:15 p.m., said DeKalb School System spokesman Rodney Jenkins.
