WSB-TV and the Atlanta Journal Constitution are reporting that a man allegedly tried to abduct an 11-year-old girl as she walked to in unincorporated Stone Mountain with her sister and another girl.

The sisters and the friend were walking on North Hairston Road to school when a man who was walking slowly behind them tried to grab the older sister, the grandmother told the television station.
But the girls fought back, including jumping on his back and kicking, and then the man ran off, the grandmother told WSB.

According to the news reports, Stone Mill Principal Rita H. Harper said in a letter to parents that the girls reported what happened as soon as they got to school.
The suspect was described as a young, skinny black male with dreaded hair, who was wearing an Army jacket jeans and sneakers at the time of the alleged abduction, according to WSB.
