Patch Picks: Boutiques
Each Thursday, Patch Picks you a selection of the "best of" around Stone Mountain. This week we're taking a tour of local boutiques.
Tired of the big box stores? Or of looking like everyone else? Here are five boutiques in the area that offer clothing, bags, shoes, jewelry and other accessories you won't find in just any store.
1. Good Sense, at the corner of Main Street and James B Rivers Drive in the village, has a nice selection of elegant and casual, with great hats. The shop also sells perfumes. Owner Jo Johnson just moved the shop to this location after many years on Main Street.
2. Glitzy Dazzle, at 5346 East Mountain in the village, claims to be the ambassador of glitzy style. That and the name just about says it all.

3. Da Costa's at Crowe's Crossing, 1234 S. Hairston, has elegant and refined day and evening wear, but also more flamboyant choices for the younger crowd. The shop does a nice job of matching outfits with accessories and shoes.
4. Aziza's She's Gotta Have It Boutique at Stonewood Village, at the corner of N. Hairston and Memorial, has some out-of-the-ordinary outfits for everyday and some elegant fancy dresses for special occasions, along with coordinated shoes, jewelry and bags.

5. For a relaxed, online shopping experience, have a look at Stone Mountain resident Anne Walker's online shop of exquisite handmade jewelry. Another place for unique jewelry is on Main Street, at the Sailor Studio in the Center Town Gallery, 951A Main Street, and at the North Town Gallery at 977 Main Street. You can watch the artists at work in the studios.
