Patch Picks: Super Bowl Sunday
A new Patch series featuring "the best of" around Stone Mountain starts with where to go to see Sunday's game.

Starting today, Patch will run a new weekly feature called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.
You'll find useful lists to help you, your family, friends and significant others find the best places for everything from Sunday brunch to New Year's Eve celebrations, pumpkin patches, date night destinations, florists, girlfriends night out, kids party places, parks and more.
And since there's this little thing on Sunday called the Super Bowl, Patch has picked five great places to see the game.

1. Village Corner German Restaurant and Bakery, 6655 James B. Rivers Drive, has two flat-screen TVs and is offering a chili special, a special on pitchers of beer and a large pretzel on the house after 6 p.m. If you're hosting your own Super Bowl party, the bakery will have whole wheat bread in the shape of a football. You can have the restaurant make them into a Quarterback sandwich that feeds four for $15. The sandwiches are also available in the restaurant.
2. , 5329 Mimosa Dr., is the place to go if you want to avoid drunk crowds. The restaurant will have the game on television and the usual great food, but it doesn't yet have a license to serve alcohol.

3. , 4144 Redan Road, offers a classier setting than a regular sports bar, with four large-screen televisions, gourmet food and modern-but-colorful decor. The drink specials include $3 beers, $5 martinis and margaritas and $5 Patron shots. Wings will be half off the regular $8 price.
4. , 5370 Highway 78, Suite 600 , has you covered with plenty of seating, TV monitors and a menu that includes wings, delicious calzones and some of the best pizza in Stone Mountain. It's an area favorite on NFL Sundays.
5. , 5922 Memorial Drive: It wouldn't be a complete list of places to see the Super Bowl without Dugan's. The sports bar for die-hard football fans will be offering all the typical Super Bowl foods, including chili and wings.
