Governor Nathan Deal and the Georgia General Assembly (state of Georgia) have removed over $100+ million dollars of our collected tax money from DeKalb County School System (DCSS) under the outdated QBE formula, local 5-mill share tax. Why should you care?

Did you know?

· The state of Georgia placed over 70% of the Refugees in the Clarkston Cluster of the DeKalb County School System without sufficient finances for supportive services.

· The state of Georgia removed over $100 million dollars from donor tax rich counties such as DeKalb and Fulton to tax poor/receiver counties such as Gwinnett.

Restore DeKalb will host a People’s Forum I & II at the Sanford Realty Company Conference Center, 4183 Snapfinger Woods Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30035 on September 13, 2014 and October 11, 2014, both will start at 9:30 am. We will educate the public on our action plan to restore $100 million to DCSS and rebuild public trust.
