Stone Mountain Family to Participate in Children's 15th Annual Care-a-Thon
The Tucker family will participate in Children's 15th annual Care-a-Thon, broadcasting from 5 a.m. on July 20 until 6 p.m. on July 21.

The annual WSB Care-a-Thon benefitting the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center is quickly approaching, and the Stone Mountain community has a patient and family that will be featured on-air.
During this 37-hour broadcast event, listeners will enjoy popular on-air personalities, special guests and inspiring interviews with patients. Participants will be discussing the amazing journeys of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta patients, encouraging listeners to make donations to the center. The Care-a-Thon will begin at 5 a.m. on July 20 and continue until 6 p.m. on July 21, and listeners can tune in on 95.5 FM or AM 750.
Zayyir Tucker of Stone Mountain will be participating in this year’s Care-a-Thon. In many ways, Zayyir is a typical thirteen-year-old boy who loves playing basketball and listening to music; but hehas to deal with something many of his peers at Millgrove Middle School have not – sickle cell disease. Through the struggles of complications, hospitalizations and surgeries, mom LaToya has entrusted Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with the care of her oldest son for 13 years.
