Stone Mountain Offers City Children Back-to-School Supplies

Volunteers were busy this week putting together 1,000 bags of erasers, crayons and more.

The city of Stone Mountain is offering free school supplies to children in need at its second annual Back to School Bash tonight.

Kids can pick up bags of supplies including pencils, erasers, rulers, crayons, scissors and more from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight, July 16. 

Volunteers from the Stone Mountain Woman's Club, the nonprofit NAK Union, city council members, city staff and more showed up at the Rock Gym to assemble 1,000 kits of supplies.

A free showing of "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" on the lawn at the First Baptist Church will follow at dusk.
