Home Invasion: Man Shot Dead, 2 Others Wounded in Gwinnett

Duluth Police believe robbery was the motive in a Wednesday morning home invasion that left a man shot dead and a woman and 8-year-old child wounded.

The wounded were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The shootings occurred around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Fox 5 reported there were signs of forced entry into home on Summercrest Lane.

A 4-year-old was not injured and was in police custody.

WSB reported the woman was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center; the 8-year-old was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. The woman is believed to be the man’s wife. Police are looking for two suspects.
