• GCPS To Host 5K Race To Support Book Mobile (savannahherald.com) — A community 5K and fun run to support the GCPS Book Mobile is coming to the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center on Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee on October 31. With in-person and virtual options, family and group discounts, costumes, music, and prizes, the race raises money to put more books directly into local students' hands.
   

• Local Event: Taste of BBQ Festival (patch.com) — A popular barbecue festival that previously drew thousands in Suwanee has moved just five miles up the road to Sugar Hill, with this year's event set for Saturday, October 3. Families can enjoy BBQ tastings, local vendors, an artist market, and kids' activities, with proceeds supporting a children's nonprofit and free admission for everyone.
