ā¢ Georgia data center activists are alarmed. EPA wants to change Clean Air Act (macon.com) ā A recent Georgia EPD public hearing in Thomaston on a proposed Brightmark plastics plant is highlighted as an example of why residentsā ināperson comments on air permits matter. Activists across Georgia are pushing back against an EPA proposal that would remove routine public notice and comment for many āminor sourceā air permits, including diesel generators for fastāgrowing data centers. They argue the change could limit Thomastonāarea and statewide communitiesā ability to spot and challenge new pollution sources.
