• WTOC sits down with DPAA director: New technology, UGA partnership driving record pace in finding America's missing troops (wtoc.com) — A long-missing Thunderbolt native, 2nd Lt. Milton Himes, is among Georgia service members recently identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, which is using advanced DNA science and new tools to bring troops home. The agency now partners with UGA on drone-based searches and urges families, including those in Thunderbolt, to submit DNA samples if they have relatives still missing from past wars.
