You Can’t Always Get What You Want. But If You Try Sometime, You Just Might Find, You Get What You Need

The City of Briarcliff Initiative and the City of Tucker organizers have had several informal discussions of what will work for our two communities. We all understand that there are problems, issues and history in different parts of our proposed maps.
The Briarcliff map makes perfect sense to us, because of its simplicity and obvious logic. Tucker’s map makes perfect sense to them because of what they see as the historic relationship between different areas.

We both recognize that there’s got to be some form of compromise; and there’s got to be some ultimate set of maps to present to our respective citizens. We’re working on it!
One thing that delays a final resolution is the City feasibility studies. We both are forced to wait until they’re done and presented to us. Then we can both look at where we stand, and what our options are. We’ve been told by CVI that the Briarcliff study will be done in the first week of December; Tucker has been told that the GSU study will be done maybe a week later. You can be sure that the discussions will become really serious at that point.

In the meantime you may wonder why I didn’t mention discussions between either of us and the Lakeside organization.
