• Friends remember teen killed in GSP crash; police respond when large crowd forms (walb.com) — A large crowd gathered at a Tucker intersection to remember 19-year-old Anthony Angeles, who died after a Georgia State Patrol chase ended in a fiery crash there. Friends honored him with candles and revving engines while DeKalb officers monitored the gathering, and GSP says it is investigating the pursuit and emphasizing the dangers of illegal stunt driving. 
• 2026 USPOULTRY Women's Leadership Conference (morningagclips.com) — Women from across the poultry and agriculture industries gathered in Tucker for the 2026 USPOULTRY Women's Leadership Conference, focusing on burnout, mentorship, and building confident careers. Speakers and panelists urged attendees to set healthy boundaries, support other women, and turn setbacks into growth, underscoring Tucker's role as home base for the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
• DeKalb County marks 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 (decaturish.com) — DeKalb County honored the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 with a solemn remembrance ceremony at the Public Safety Headquarters in Tucker, featuring a wreath-laying, flag-lowering, and moment of silence. Decatur High School's JROTC also held a separate ceremony, recognizing local first responders and community members with 9/11 Remembrance Awards for their service and support of veterans and unhoused residents.
