4-H Young Farmers Club Debuts in Cobb County

Cobb 4-H is joined by Cobb County Farm Bureau to bring our youth the newest 4-H club to Cobb County!

Cobb 4-H is joined by Cobb County Farm Bureau to bring our youth the newest 4-H club to Cobb County! 4th-12th graders from Cobb are welcome to join. Stan Kirk, President of the Cobb County Farm Bureau, and his son, Brandon, a student at Kennesaw State University and a Cobb County Young Farmer, are leading the Cobb 4-H Young Farmers Club.

This summer, Cobb County Farm Bureau generously sponsored two field trips to Governor Barnes’ Cattle Farm and Bray Family Farms, both in Powder Springs. 4-Hers learned about how cutting edge science is interwoven with the daily management practices on a cattle farm. They also had a chance to pet goats, cattle, and they tasted vegetables and fruits harvested right from the farm. Cobb 4-H Young Farmers Club members had the opportunity to get first hand experiences with farming right here in their own backyard!
