A. Evelyn Rapacki Dies at 76
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, with funeral services following at 11 a.m.

A. Evelyn Rapacki, a 76 Powder Springs woman, passed away Monday.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with Chaplain Sheryl Dillard officiating. Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park with full military honors.
Born in Rhode Island, Mrs. Rapacki grew up in Massachusettes and moved to Powder Springs 26 years ago from Rockford, IL. She retired from the United States Air Force Reserves as a Master Sergeant, and worked for Bellsouth as an accounting clerk for 25 years.

She enjoyed walking, was a member of the American Volkssport Association, and has walked all 50 states. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rapacki, in 2003.
Survivors include her children, David Fournier and wife, Christine, of Casselberry, FL, John Fournier of Sioux City, IA, Michael Rapacki of Rockford, IL, James Rapacki of Powder Springs, GA, Kathy Rapacki of Gainesville, FL, and Daniel Rapacki and wife, Sue, of Sioux City, IA; sister Carol Kolesar and husband Rudolph of Dunnellon, FL; brothers Raymond Temple and wife Teen of Louisville, KY and James Temple and wife, Marilyn of Royal Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
