Cobb EMC recently donated more than 3,200 dictionaries to students in 26 elementary schools across Cobb County.
The donations were part of Cobb EMC’s longstanding efforts to promote literacy and education throughout its service area. Third-graders were each given a dictionary that included an almanac, multiplication tables and other study tools to begin – or to grow – their home libraries.
Kelly Bodner, a member of Cobb EMC’s board of directors, helped distribute dictionaries at Russell Elementary along with CobbWorks’ Donna Frankovsky, volunteer coordinator, and Nicole Carsten, communications manager.
