Harrison High School Bands - Feed the Need

HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AN EXTRAORDINARY HUMANITARIAN PROJECT

Sunday, August 24, 2014 - Harrison High School Bands will be hosting the second annual COME BAND WITH US….HELP US HELP OTHERS - FEED-THE-NEED event. The Harrison Bands program will be participating in a significant humanitarian effort. High school marching band students will pack, seal and ship over 15,000 meals to Haiti and locations in the USA to feed children impacted by poverty. Champion Events Group and Feed the Hunger are the logistical partners in organizing the event. Under the direction of Joshua Ray, Harrison Bands has devoted members who are committed to academic and musical development. The Harrison High School Band stands on its reputation as an award winning program with highly dedicated student musicians.

In addition to the funds raised enabling 15,000 meals to be shipped to Haiti and USA locations, Harrison Bands hope to raise additional funds to enable the band to pay for new marching band uniforms. Harrison Bands will be competing in several Music for All - Bands of America Championships this fall.
