Please donate books for Boy Scout Eagle Project & Children's Literacy of Georgia

I am a Boy Scout with Troop 204 in Marietta.  I am currently working on my Eagle Service Project which  includes a book drive benefiting Georgia children through a partnership with Children’s Literacy of Georgia (www.childrensliteracyga.org).  This organization is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization that helps children from birth through 10 years of age increase their reading abilities and increase literacy in our community.  My service project goal is to collect at least 500 children’s books for Children’s Literacy of Georgia.

Would you please consider donating new or gently used childrens books?  I currently have 3 book collection bins in Powder Springs:  The Bookworm Bookstore in downtown Powder Springs, Tapp Middle School on Macedonia Road, and Varner Elementary School on Gaydon Road.  These book collection bins will be available through Wednesday, December 19th.  This would be very helpful to my service project and greatly appreciated.  I also want to thank Susan Smelser with The Book Worm Bookstore, Dr. Walker and staff at Tapp Middle School, Dr. Adeli and staff at Varner Elementary School, and Trudy Edenfield with ShelfGenie for their time and support with my project.
