Nope not snakes, or other critters the danger comes from the plants. I did not realize when I planted the cucumbers and squash that they were attack plants. I sustained an injury while trying to cage the cucumbers. The cucumber plants were being caged because they were trying to strangle the squash. So as I was corralling the cucumber plants to place them in the cages, I sustained multiple skin pricks and a scratch on my leg. Please, people be careful in the garden you never know what's waiting to attack. Don't believe me see the picture below of my cucumber injury.
