Vietnam Healing Wall Comes to Newnan
The Healing Wall has names of our soldiers from Vietnam written in stone to honor fallen soldiers. The memorial is in Newnan, Georgia, Thursday-Sunday this week.
On Wednesday, I went to get my annual car emissions taken care of at the local downtown Powder Springs BP service station. While there, I saw on the doorway to the waiting area, a flyer for the Healing Wall Vietnam Traveling Memorial.
The Memorial is coming to Newnan this week. The owner of the BP who quickly did the emissions said that the one of his mechanics had gone last year. The Memorial is huge and the mechanic had to get on his tippy toes (my words, not his) to reach his brother's name at the top of the Memorial Wall. Sad, sweet story of an unforgotten brother lost in do I call it a military action, no I'll call it the war in Vietnam.
