Why Does My Fast Computer Have Slow Internet?

Why is my fast computer so slow when surfing the internet? I get this question almost daily. I know you want your computer to load you as fast as possible. So over the next few days I will give you several ways to speed up you internet browsing. WestCobbPatch.com

1) How many toolbars are loading when your web browser loads? More and more when getting the complaint "Why is my fast computer so slow when surfing the internet?". The first thing I do is open their web browser and sure enough 4 or 5 Toolbars load up. This is a big issue when looking at why your internet is slow.

Toolbars are known for collecting all kinds of information from you while you surf the web, and they are continually sending this information back to the companies that developed the toolbar. This is not only a breach of your privacy but because they are transmitting their data it is using your bandwidth which you need to surf the web. If like many you have 4 or 5 toolbars they are actually fighting for bandwidth to transmit their data, leaving little room for you information.

So I recommend only having 1 toolbar load when your web browser loads. So how do you do that? Usually right clicking on the toolbar you want to remove will give you the option to disable the toolbar. If the toolbar is persistent and keeps re-enabling itself, you will need to go to Control Panel, Programs then find the toolbars in the list of programs and remove them there.

2) If you are still using Internet Explorer to surf the internet then the browser itself could be slowing you down. I have two browser that I recommend over Internet Explorer both are free and many times faster than IE. 

Google Chrome is a lean but totally functional browser and it is fast! It is a free download from Google and actually has some safety factors as well that makes it better than IE.

The other recommended browser is Mozilla FireFox. It too is a free download and is a lot faster than IE. It also has many plugins available to make it your own. That is to make it work better for the way you surf the web.

Well hopefully those two tips can help you surf the web more like it should be FAST! I will follow up in a few days with a few more tips.
