Cobb Police Detective Commended for Performance

J. W. Freidlander has cleared more than 255 cases and recovered $100,000 in stolen property.

The Captain John Collins Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution honored Cobb police Detective J. W. Freidlander on Monday at the department's Precinct 5 on Dallas Highway.

Here's why the organization recognized Freidlander:

In recognition of Law Enforcement Month, the Captain John Collins Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, with the cooperation and support of the Cobb County Police Department, honored Detective J. W. Freidlander of Precinct 5, which is located at 4640 Dallas Highway. Detective Friedlander was honored with the Law Enforcement Commendation Certificate and Medal for his outstanding performance. Since his assignment to the Criminal Investigations Unit, he has led the unit in case clearance with over 255 cases cleared and $100,000 of stolen property recovered. Detective Friedlander is commended for his strong work ethic, endless efforts and commitment to the Cobb County Police Department.

Also on Monday, Capt. C. T. Cox was presented with the SAR Flag Certificate in recognition of Precinct 5 displaying the American flag properly.
