Dole Recalls More Salads

In its , Dole has voluntarily recalled nearly 2,600 cases of its "Hearts of Romaine" bagged salad.

The bags are coded 0540N165112A or B, with a use-by date of June 26 and UPC 7143000956. The product code and use-by date are in the upper right-hand corner of the package; the UPC code is on the back below the barcode.

No other salads are included in the recall. 

The recall comes from Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause foodborne illness that turned up in a random sample test by the Food and Drug Administration. No illnesses have been reported.

The salads were distributed in nine U.S. states: Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
