Go Girl! Festival

Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre’s 8th Annual Marietta Go Girl! Festival Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre is taking over Glover Park in Historic Marietta Square on Saturday, June 8th, from 10 am until 5 pm, for a Celebration of Girlhood! Returning for the 8th year, GMDT takes over the Square for the Annual Marietta Go Girl! Festival – free and open to the pubic. With Crazy Hair, face painting, inflatables and games, Go Girl! is fun for the whole family, and helps GMDT raise community awareness about dance through live performances, games and activities. A live DJ will crank up the music to encourage everyone in the Square to join the fun and get moving, and live performances by local talent will provide a glimpse at the dedication of GMDT’s dancers. Throughout the day, attendees of all ages are encouraged to participate in Free Dance Lessons offered by instructors with Georgia Dance Conservatory. Through Costume Sales and Raffles, the Marietta Go Girl! Festival also serves as an important GMDT fundraising event, to allow the Theatre to continue to present quality programs and performances throughout the year. The Marietta Go Girl! Festival is sponsored by Hicks Roofing, Thornton Dental Wellness, Big Shanty Antiques & Gifts, and Marietta Pizza Company.  GMDT is a non-profit organization that has provided dance performances in metro Atlanta for more than 50 years.
