William Lee Mathews: The 71-year-old of Whitesburg died Aug. 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Becky Dodd Berry Balkcom: Oct. 12, 1923 – Aug. 2, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Episcopal Church of Marietta or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, with visitation to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

David E. Geros Sr.: Jan. 16, 1945 – Aug. 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Woodstock with Dr. Johnny Hunt officiating. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Dr. Bradley Brown officiating.

Joseph Carl Hardy: Nov. 25, 1943 – Aug. 3, 2013. A memorial service will be held noon Monday, Aug. 12, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will be in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service.

Robert A. Rutledge: May 21, 1923 – Aug. 4, 2013. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at First Baptist Church in Willmington, N.C., with the Rev. Frank Hawkins officiating.

Eugene William Hutchinson: June 6, 1962 - Aug. 1, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the residence of his sister, Megan West.

Heather Manfull: April 27, 1983 – Aug. 4, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Love Community Church in Acworth.

Richard J. McMenamin: March 10, 1946 – Aug. 1, 2013. He will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. 

Nicholas "Nick" B. Parry: July 28, 1963 – July 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Mt. Paran Central Church of God in Atlanta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
