The Board of Commissioners heard a presentation of the FY21 Budget on Monday, July 13. Assistant Finance Director Buddy Tesar made the presentation to the board which you can watch here; https://youtu.be/Dd109nmRjxs
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the budget. The county has a hiring freeze in place and significantly decreased planned capital expenditures in an effort to plan for decreased revenues caused by the pandemic.

In July, the Cobb Board of Commissioners will host three public hearings on the county's 2020 millage rate and the county's proposed fiscal year 2021 budget. There is no increase in the county's millage rate.

Chairman presents recommended FY 2021 budget to the Board of Commissioners
BOC special called meeting
9 a.m., Tuesday, July 14
First public hearing on the recommended budget and first public hearing on the current year millage
BOC regular meeting
6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 21
Second public hearing on the recommended budget and second public hearing on the current year millage
Special called meeting
7 p.m., Tuesday, July 28
Third public hearing on the recommended budget and third public hearing on the current year millage;
