Get Your 5Ks, Golf Tourneys and More on Patch
Don't wait for spring to arrive to get the word out about your outdoor sporting events, fundraisers and other happenings—learn how you can spread the word with the help of West Cobb Patch.

The late-night low temperatures and this past weekend’s snowfall may make it hard to realize that spring is just over two weeks away, but with the incoming season comes the promise of warmer weather—and with it events aimed at inviting West Cobb residents outdoors.
If you’re trying to promote one of these outdoor events—whether it be a road race, golf tournament, parade, Easter egg hunt, etc.—Patch is here to help you get the word out. Here are the quick and easy ways to post these events on West Cobb Patch.

Your event may be happening weeks from now, but perhaps you want to tell readers about early bird registration or an upcoming deadline. Or perhaps you’re seeking volunteers, donations or vendors. This is where an announcement comes in handy.
Announcements can be about anything you want to tell people. We want you to feel invested in Patch and the community, and this is an easy and quick way to do it. Add a photo, as well. It helps your announcement stand out.
Simply click the Announcement option under the News tab on the homepage. On the right side of the screen you’ll see the button “Add an Announcement.” This will you take you to Patch’s new announcement form. When you’re ready, click “publish my announcement” and it will go live to the site immediately.
Other things Patch allows and encourages you to post include births, school or community awards, job promotions and more.
