Hillgrove Looking to Advance to State Quarterfinals

One week after upsetting No. 1 seed East Coweta in the first round of the state soccer tournament, is hoping to pull of another upset in round two today.

If the Hawks want to advance to the state quarterfinals, they're going to have to do exactly what the Hillgrove girls soccer team did: bus four hours to Southern Georgia and knock off a higher seeded team.

On Tuesday, the Lady Hawks traveled to Savannah and knocked off Savannah Arts 6-0 to advance to the Elite Eight. If the boys want to advance, they'll have to knock off Coffee High School. The No. 3 seeded Trojans are located in Douglas, GA, about three hours south of Atlanta.

The game starts at 6 p.m.
